Radiator cold or partially warm
If a radiator stays cold or warms only partially, the issue can be air, valve, circulation or balancing of the heating system.
Possible causes
- air inside radiator;
- blocked thermostatic valve;
- deposits or sludge;
- hydraulic imbalance;
- pump or boiler circulation issue.
What to observe
- radiator cold completely or only at bottom;
- flow pipe warm, return pipe cold;
- one radiator or all affected;
- noises in the installation;
- boiler pressure stable or dropping.
