Submersible pump not starting
A submersible pump that does not start can have an electrical, control or mechanical problem.

Possible causes
- no voltage or tripped breaker
- faulty pressure switch or float
- damaged submersible cable
- thermal protection active
- blocked or burnt pump
What to note
- whether any noise is heard when it should start
- pressure shown on the installation
- there is a control panel or presscontrol
- pump is in well, basin or tank
Safety
Do not work on electrical connections in wet areas. Submersible pump supply and cable insulation should be checked with proper instruments.
