RCD protection
RCD will not reset
If the RCD trips immediately after reset, there is usually leakage to earth or a faulty appliance.

Possible causes
- faulty appliance
- moisture in a socket or junction box
- damaged outdoor cable
- bathroom, yard or pump circuit issue
- faulty RCD
Useful steps
- disconnect appliances from affected sockets
- turn off secondary circuits if the panel allows it and you know what you are doing
- observe whether it appears after rain or after an appliance starts
- do not bypass the RCD
Important
The RCD is there for personal safety. It should not be bypassed to “solve” the problem.
